Resources

Some applicants for CRF assistance may be eligible to receive help or more long-term support from programs/agencies within your own local communities. Many of you are familiar with or have already contacted these local resources. Others may not know whom to contact. Since CRF is only able to help in limited and short-term ways, we encourage you to seek out other appropriate sources of funding, assistance, counseling, etc. In Massachusetts, the Community Resources and Advocacy program www.communityaction.us assists residents of Franklin, Hampshire, North Quabbin, and Ware find resources including:

*Heat and Utilities Shut-Off Assistance (provided if you are struggling with utility bills, have received a shut-off notice, or are below ¼ tank of heating oil)

*Food and Grocery Assistance

*Community Resources & Advocacy (for those currently in housing court or facing immediate eviction)

*Foreclosure Prevention & Post-Foreclosure Services

*Access to Health Care

*Food Stamp Application Assistance
